How long is a day?
As long as you choose, between 8 and 12 hours. The board outside the shop opens a
panel headed SET OPENING HOURS; it prints the total as 8.0 HOURS SHIFT and the
bounds as MIN: 8 MAX: 12.
Do I have to open at 12:00?
No. 12:00 and 20:00 are just what the panel opens with. Both are steppers,
and once you press Okay the board on the pavement is repainted with whatever
you picked.
Why does the clock sit at 09:00?
Because your day has not started. The clock does not run during the tutorial, and on a new save it is still three hours before the opening time you chose.
How do I get goods onto a shelf?
Four steps: pick the box up (PICK UP), press E to open it, click a shelf that
glows green, then carry the empty box out to the bin. Every one of them is a
tutorial objective in its own right.
The shelf does not glow. Is it broken?
The glow is the acceptance test. If a shelf does not light up while your box is open, the game will not take that product there — clicking harder does nothing.
Can I rename the shop?
Yes. Aim at the sign above the door until CHANGE NAME appears, click, type and
press DONE. MyMarket is only the default.
Do I need an account?
No. The portal banner says Log in to save your progress! and the guest button
says Continue as guest; progress is already saved into one of three slots on
the title card. An account is for carrying that save to another machine.
What are P, R and C?
The three key tiles the game prints in the HUD corner, under a gear, a star and a
hand. P is pause on the portal's control sheet; R is reputation there; C is
not on that sheet at all.
Is the game localised?
Partly. The client is served per language — de_DE, es_ES, pt_BR, ja_JP
and others all return their own file — but the in-game text we have seen stays
English. The wrapper is translated; the shop speaks English.
What happens when the first customer arrives?
We do not know yet, and we will not guess. That is the next thing this site has
to photograph, and /checkout/ will stay marked NEEDS CHECK until it does.
